Momentum Pinares


Boasting wonderful restaurants, a movie theater and great shopping, Plaza Momentum does not disappoint. The convenience of a hotel right inside is a great option as well. The Hyatt Place is perfect for rest and recovery after having some dental work done.

Multiplaza Curridabat


Visit Multiplaza Mall in Curridibat to shop your favorite stores, enjoy a meal at one of the many restaurants or enjoy entertainment for the entire family.

Terramall Cartago


Located outside Curridibat, Terramall makes a convenient meeting point on the way to Cartago. Stores include Mango, Addidas and Aeropostal. Other specialty stores include Librería Internacional. A movie theater and several restaurants such as Inka Grill and Rostipollos are also located in the mall.

Irazu Volcano National Park


Discover the most visited National Park in Costa Rica. Your best bet to get a view of the crater is early in the morning between December and April. Short trails lead to the peak and views of the lake. The volcano is bout 21 km northeast of Cartago, tops out at 3,432 meters.

Mirador Trail


These mossy trails are well-maintained and one of the nicest parks just outside Orosi. It features spectacular waterfalls and a beautiful natural walk. To find the trail, look for the signs for Tapanti National Park just south of Orosi. Pass the large power plant and continue a few kilometers past the small town of Purisil.

Church of Carthage Ruins


The Ruins of Carthage, refers to the remains of an unfinished parish church of Santiago Apostle, in the city of Cartago (Costa Rica). The so-called "Ruins of the Parish" or ruins of Carthage are located east of the Plaza Mayor of the city.

Cartago Central Market


If you're interested in experiencing an authentic Costa Rican Farmer's Market, this is the place for you. Try out your Spanish while buying an empanada, or sample some of the local produce.

Cartago Municipal Museum


Just a short walk from the Central Park (Plaza Major) this restored former Military Institution / Prison is an incredible setting for an amazing collection of historical artifacts and rotating art exhibits.
